Second Annual Dog Show!
Leslie Kle, Lauren Zoebelein and Doug Barnaby did an amazing job hosting the second dog show at Garvies Point Dog Park in Glen Cove! There were about 15 participants this year, raising money for our annual Klothes for Kids drive! Thank you to all who attended!
North Shore Key Club - Major Emphasis Project (2022)
The North Shore High School Key Club for their 2022-2023 Major Emphasis Project (MEP) will be assisting the Glen Cove Mommas House. The mission of Mommas House is to provide housing and support services to young mothers and their children. Since 1986, when the first residence opened, Mommas House has grown with multiple sites currently established in Nassau County. Through a variety of events planned each month, the key clubbers will open their hearts to young mothers and their children. As their first project in September, the North Shore key Club had a food drive on September18 th at Holiday Farms in Glen Head. The Kiwanis Club of North Shore President John Kle, Past President Leslie Kle member Barbara Black, were on hand to deliver the food to the Glen Cove residence. Nassau Bicycle Challenge!
Our 2022 event was a huge success with over 150 riders, multiple sponsors and a total of $16,500 raised for children of the community. Since its inception in 1996, over $300K has been raised. Be sure to look out for next year's challenge!
Celebrating 54 years and honoring President John Kle, this black and white event features some of the Kiwanis leadership and members. We are glad to present such amazing members who help our local community and beyond!
Easter Baskets for Children
A picture from the Connolly School pickup with Leslie McCarthy’s crew of wonderful 10 year old's. The event held on Tuesday, April 12th was to give out Easter baskets at Saint Christopher-Ottilie.
